David Crowder Band – Give Us Rest

It is bitter sweet that this is the last album ever from the David Crowder Band. It’s sad seeing one of my most favorite contemporary Christian artist’s leave the spotlight, but I am excited for this new album. There are many unique styles and genres within the album. You will go from a track with lots of build and intense-moving worship and the next will be a country hoedown. That is what makes Crowder Band’s music so good and appealing. It captures a broad spectrum of listeners. Make sure to check out the new album Give Us Rest, right here on Freshlife Radio. – Jesse

Saying it is bittersweet is so true for me. I’ve been following them since 1999, around the time I rededicated my life to the Lord, and their music has been a soundtrack to my walk with Him. From the first time I heard one of their songs sung, the lyrics just sunk into my heart. I have had the privilege of watching them grow and flourish and that has been a true blessing; I knew they would become a huge success. I am having a hard time coming to grips with the fact that I won’t be waiting for the next tour and album. I know David will not stop writing and producing praise to His name because it is too much a part of who he is and I look forward to continue seeing what the Lord will do with the talents he’s been given. The rest of the boys, too – Jack, B-wack, Mike D, Mark, Hogie – I’m excited to see what they will do with their new project. Many thanks and blessings to all of them for bringing us such great music! – Kelli
