Last night I tweeted that it would be an understatement to say that people were stoked that Phil Wickham was out for Skull Church. The night was out-of-control-awesome. Jesus was glorified and that’s what it’s all about. Even this morning as I was following up on some tweets I saw one person had tweeted about how they made a decision for Christ and their life will never be the same. There is nothing greater in this world than seeing Jesus move. There is nothing greater than getting to watch Jesus redeem lives.
Anyway, I’m not here to talk about Skull Church. I’m here to share an interview that Jesse got a chance to do with Phil.

If you were looking for a dance party somewhere in Kalispell last night I sure hope you made it out to Skull Church. Let’s just say it’s not very often that you get a bunch of pastors on a stage dancing their little hearts out very often. Let’s just say that it’s not very often that Queens Club blows the roof off of the Liberty Theater.
Here’s the interview:

Skull Church could not have kicked back into gear any better than it did last night. I feel like my excitement for the event had been swelling up for weeks, but in the last couple days, after seeing everything come together, my whole being was consumed in anticipation for the work that Jesus would do through his people. The night was a blast and lives were changed!
We had The Classic Crime out… just for fun, because, you know, it’s always fun to have AMAZING musicians out here.
I had the chance to do an interview with front man Matt MacDonald.

So, if you haven’t caught on by now, Skull Church will often bring out a band to play. In January we had abandon come out and it was quite the treat. They put on a great performance and I was so blessed to have a chance to talk to them in the station afterwards.

So, as it turns out, another amazing artist decided to stop by Skull Church this week. I have to say that this artist is one that I could not help but be overjoyed by. If you know anything about me, you know that I’m quite fond of my home state, Texas, and also Baylor University (which I really only attended for a semester). All this to say, I was thrilled to see Robbie Seay Band out here. I remember I was first introduced to his music while I was in college. I would walk to my biology class every other morning at 7:57 (being ambitious to get my college career off to an early morning start). I may not have had a great time in that class, but Robbie Seay’s “Give Yourself Away” album changed my life those mornings. Everyday was a “New Day”.
But this blog isn’t about me. I didn’t even do the interview. I did listen to it, and oh how my heart longs to have sat in that room and chimed in. If you’re looking for an amazing interview with an amazingly talented worship leader then you’ve come to the right place. You will hear some background on their most recent album, you’ll hear a little about what it’s like touring, and you’ll hear a bit about the great(est) state of Texas and the even greater (I use this term lightly) athletic department of Baylor University. If you’re into worship, food, or sports, this interview is definitely for you!
